Aberdeen Altens is a modern, 4* hotel just off the A90 and close to the city centre, making it a great base for exploring Scotland’s stunning east coast.

Facilities include a leisure club, beauty therapist, hair salon, restaurant, lounge bar, free parking and free WiFi.

Comfortable rooms

Aberdeen Altens aims to make each of its 216 ensuite rooms feel like a home-from-home. So they include features like comfy Hypnos beds with soft duvets and crisp clean linen, all designed to give you a good night’s rest.

All rooms also have a flat screen LCD TV, free high-speed WiFi, a phone, hairdryer, desk with chair, iron with board, in-room safe and complimentary toiletries. You also have the option of upgrading to a Premium King room which includes a king sized bed and Nespresso coffee machine for lovely fresh brews in the morning.

24-hour room service is also available, meaning that midnights snacks are definitely on the cards.

Contemporary cuisine

The light and spacious Cairngorm restaurant offers a choice of contemporary international dishes plus hearty favourites, complemented by a varied wine list.

Menus can change seasonally, but expect mains such as the braised beef chasseur, the tandoori chicken kebabs, the pan-fried crispy cod fillet and for vegetarians, the pumpkin ravioli.

Desserts might include comforting treats like the selection of cheese and biscuits, the banoffee pie and the baked rice pudding.

Leisure and beauty

The Aberdeen Altens health & leisure club includes an indoor swimming pool, fully-equipped gym, spa pool, sauna and steam room. There are also a wide range of classes available.

If you fancy treating yourself to a makeover session (maybe before your evening meal in the Cairngorm), the club also has a beauty therapist and a hair salon.

See & Do

The hotel is perfectly based for exploring both Aberdeen and Scotland’s East Coast. There’s plenty to see and do in the local area, including 55 golf courses in Aberdeenshire alone.

Sightseeing highlights include the royal getaway of Balmoral Castle and the Glenfiddich Distillery in Keith. Needless to say, Aberdeenshire is also a walker’s paradise, with the Cairngorms National Park and various stunning coastal rambles begging to be explored.

The Cruickshank Botanic Garden, the University of Aberdeen and the 600-year-old Cathedral of St. Machar are also well worth seeing.
