  • Award winning resort
  • Perfect for discovering Arran
  • Rooms to suit all requirements
  • Traditional styles and contemporary interiors

Auchrannie Resort is a very special place. Renowned for its service and facilities, the hotel made headlines by becoming Scotland’s first employee owned resort – meaning every member of staff is invested in making your experience at the hotel the best it possibly can be.

With two restaurants, a luxurious spa, two indoor swimming pools, a fitness suite, a sports hall, a snooker room and a children’s play barn filled with activities for kids and teens, guests of all ages are spoiled for choice for things to do at Auchrannie Resort. Dogs are welcome too and even have their own area in the hotel’s bars to hang out in.

Despite its island location, Auchrannie is very easy to get to, both by driving and public transport. The ferry to Brodick leaves from Ardrossan Train Station and there’s a free shuttle bus waiting to take guests without cars to the hotel which is just a mile and a half from the centre of Brodick.

Modern facilities

Auchrannie Resort is renowned for the high standards of its numerous facilities. Every inch of the hotel is slick, modern and carefully attended to.

All bedrooms at the hotel have comfortable beds with Egyptian cotton linen, a selection of hot drinks, bathrobes, Arran Aromatics toiletries, a TV, complimentary bottled water, and free Wi-Fi.

There are two restaurants within Auchrannie resort. Cruize Bar & Brasserie serves a menu of traditional favourites and freshly prepared homemade pizzas and pastas and has a children’s menu and games area for kids, comfortable couches to relax on, a roaring fire to curl up beside and sunshine terrace to enjoy in the summer.

Brambles Seafood + Grill serves produce which is sourced as locally as possible. It only uses free range chicken, 21 day hung beef and fresh seafood. Open all day, guests also have the option of enjoying a coffee by the fire or a glass of wine on the terrace. A children’s menu is also available.

Eighteen69, open Thursday to Monday, is a comfy bar area where guests can enjoy a drink – note the restaurant in this area is closed at the moment.

Spa and leisure facilities

Auchrannie Resort has leisure facilities within the hotel as well as a separate spa resort, The ASPA, which is a haven of luxury and relaxation and offers a number of treatments using ESPA and Ishga products.

Both the hotel and spa resort have a 20 metres pool all the family can enjoy. Other spa facilities include steam rooms, a sanarium and saunas. Guests who would like to keep up with their fitness can check out the resort’s gym which has a wide selection of cardio and resistance equipment, along with classes and activities. The sports hall accommodates team sports such as football, basketball, and tennis. There is also a snooker room.

Children welcome

Auchrannie is heaven for wee ones, who can spend time having fun in the resort’s Play Barn which has three tier indoor mega softplay, an external play and picnic area, a teen zone, internet area, big screen TV, library and WI-FI and snacks and drinks and snacks in ‘The Trough’ cafe. The comfort and fun of kids is catered to throughout the hotel, including the leisure area and Cruize and Brambles restaurants.

Children are welcome to come along on this Big Deal. An extra supplement will be charged.

Isle of Arran

It’s not just us who claim Arran to be one of the best islands in the world – it beat Santorini and Capri to to be named the island with the best hotels in Europe (Auchrannie playing an important role in this), plus American news outlet CNN placed Arran in its Seven Best Islands In The World For Day Trips list.

Often referred to as “Scotland in miniature” due to its rugged mountains in the north and rolling hills and farmland in the south, Arran is considered to have all the best qualities of Scotland contained in one compact island.

There’s numerous outdoor activities available on the spectacular island, including walking, cycling, golf, and kayaking.

Arran is also unique in the number of quality produce that is made on the island, including Arran Aromatics toiletries, Arran Cheese, Whisky and Arran beer. Guests at Auchrannie can visit the business’s shops and its distillery and brewery.

The big deal was bookable online and I requested a room in the House Hotel rather than the spa hotel however, i'm not sure if that request was received by the hotel.
