If it is character and tradition that you’re looking for then you will find it at The Castle Inn. This 19th century Scottish coaching inn overlooks a peaceful village green with the Medieval Dirleton Castle as a backdrop.

Guests can dine on gourmet pub cuisine followed by drinks in the big, sunny beer garden and terrace. All bedrooms are ensuite, with four doubles and one single available. An a la carte breakfast is served each morning.

Dirleton is a picturesque village in East Lothian, around a 45-minute drive from Central Edinburgh. Right across from the hotel is the 13th century Dirleton Castle, known for its beautiful gardens. The National Museum of Flight is also close by.

Other attractions include the coastal towns of Gullane with its award-winning beach and popular North Berwick. Dirleton is also based on Scotland’s Golf Coast with several prominent championship courses to try, including Muirfield, Gullane No. 1, North Berwick West Links, Longniddry and Luffness.
