Mono Suites Edinburgh

Mono Suites is a set of boutique accommodations housed in a dramatic tower in central Edinburgh. Situated above the world-renowned restaurant of the same name, it has the distinction of being the city’s very first ‘smart’ hotel, with a manless reception that offers complete flexibility and freedom. This creates a true ‘home from home’ feeling.

Each suite is decorated in a contemporary style with artworks and a natural, soothing colour scheme. Plus you can make the most of a welcome hamper and incredible views of Arthur’s Seat.

Stylish, fully-equipped suites

Choices range from intimate one-bedroom suites (sleep up to four) to larger two-bedroom suites (sleep up to six) at the top of the tower.

Each comes fully furnished with a living area, kitchens, luxurious linens, a 4k Smart TV with Netflix and Bluetooth Soundbars. Towels, toiletries and kitchen utensils are also included.

Guests at Mono can take their pick from two very different restaurants — one in the Mono Complex itself and the other just around the corner.

Situated below the suites, the world-class Mono Restaurant promises progressive Italian dining as you’ve never experienced it before. It is the only Italian featured in the 2021 Michelin Guide and also won the World’s Best Emerging Restaurant 2021.

True to its word, Mono serves up Italian cuisine as a full multi-sensory experience. Dishes embrace visual, sound, texture and all kinds of stimuli, to offer up a meal you will never forget. A sample dish from the five-course tasting experience includes ravioli with Wye Valley green asparagus, 24-month-aged Parmigiano-Reggiano and Italian white summer truffle.

Or if you’re just looking for hearty food in a lively atmosphere, then Carnivore on the Cowgate is a relaxing spot for a grill dish washed down with a craft beer or cocktail. Choices include the 350g sirloin steak; a classic reuben sandwich, or pea & asparagus risotto.

The suites are based on South Bridge, right in the heart of the city’s charming, cobbled Old Town and surrounded by many of the most iconic visitor spots.

St. Giles Cathedral is just a short stroll away and you will also be handy for the Royal Mile, Scottish National Gallery and Edinburgh Castle. Waverley Station is also close by.
