The area is also home to The Royal Yacht Britannia, once a touring ship for the Queen and now a visitor attraction where you can peek at the state rooms. The Edinburgh Playhouse theatre is under 10 minutes away on foot, plus there are plenty of bus links to Edinburgh Castle and Princes Street.

On the Walk is also handy for the brand new St. James’s Quarter, which offers a cinema, bars, restaurants and canopied galleria with shops like John Lewis.
