Description

Cosy, Four Star Accommodation in Pitlochry

The Old Mill Inn offers cosy, four star accommodation in Pitlochry. Just an hour from Edinburgh and under two from Glasgow, this welcoming, family-run business was created from a neat conversion of the town’s 18th century corn mill. The mill lade which once powered the grinding stones still runs past the Inn and turns the water wheel at the front of the building. While the Old Mill Inn has retained its historic charm, it has all the modern conveniences that you would expect of four star accommodation. Although located in the centre of town, the Old Mill Inn is relatively secluded and offers private parking. Close to the Cairngorms National Park, Old Mill Inn in Pitlochry is the ideal base from which to tour the surrounding Perthshire and Highlands countryside.

Comfort, Space and Style

Designed with comfort, space and style in mind, all of the ensuite bedrooms at The Old Mill Inn, Pitlochry feature flat screen televisions, hot drinks trays and WiFi. Rooms at The Old Mill Inn are available as standard or deluxe and, should you wish to treat yourself, there is also the Mill Suite. Three of the rooms are suitable for family accommodation and, for those travelling with older family members or friends, inter-connecting rooms are also available. All of the rooms at Pitlochry’s Mill Inn are decorated in a fresh, modern style.

Scottish produce in Pitlochry

Fresh, local produce is at the heart of the menu at The Old Mill Inn; particularly in dishes such as the pan seared Scottish salmon, the Scottish beef burger or the Scottish sharing platter – a feast of venison salami, smoked beef carpaccio, Morangie brie, Barwheys Cheddar, haggis bon bons, ham hough and Arran mustard terrine, all served with apple chutney and crusty bread. The Old Mill Inn serves food throughout the day – perfect for a mid-afternoon sandwich and a bowl of soup or a spectacular evening meal centred around a char grilled rib eye of Angus steak.

A popular spot for lunch and dinner with Pitlochry locals and non-residents, The Old Mill Inn gets buzzy with live music every Saturday night; an open mic trad session on Fridays and jazz on the last Sunday of every month.

What’s on in Pitlochry
