The staff were lovely and friendly whilst very professional. Food was very well presented and tasted delicious. Cocktails were a nice touch. I would recommend the soup. courgette and rosemary, main course chicken and fish fabulous. Great meal, thank you.

Glasgow’s Urban Bar and Brasserie, formerly home to the Bank of England’s Scottish headquarters, looks a million dollars. Located on St Vincent Place in the city centre, the food is eclectic, and the décor blends old school elegance with a contemporary edge. Urban Bar and Brasserie is perfect for both entertaining clients and dining with relatives, either for lunch or dinner.
Wherever possible, Glasgow’s Urban Bar and Brasserie uses locally sourced and seasonal ingredients to execute the dishes of the executive chef Colin Duffy. Awarded two AA Rosettes within months of opening, Urban Bar and Brasserie offers a range of dishes like the starter of spiced tomato & roast pepper soup with coconut or main courses such as rump of lamb with sweet roast garlic and thyme fondant potato and fillet of mature Scotch beef with sundried tomato, garlic & herb butter & chips.
Some of the dishes, like the fillets of bream teriyaki steamed in paper with pak choi, ginger, garlic and sticky rice, take their cue from further afield. Add in a well thought out wine list and it’s no surprise that the Urban Bar and Brasserie has plenty of regular fans in Glasgow’s city centre.
Thanks to its address in the very heart of Glasgow city centre, the Urban Bar and Brasserie also attracts plenty of shoppers and theatre goers. A short walk from both Queen Street and Central rail stations, local diners and visitors from further afield can access Urban Bar and Brasserie with ease.
