Rather a plain ,almost bare, restaurant room.
Food was good,& good value, selected from fixed price menu; dessert was too expensive for what it was.
As with most restaurants, food was 'cheap' but wine seemed too dear; however they have to make the £s somewhere.

Opened in the summer of 2017, Monadh Kitchen is a cosy bistro on New Kirk Road in Bearsden. Decked out in muted, natural colours with candles and up lighters giving everything a sympathetic glow, it is a compact and welcoming space. Ideal for a catch-up lunch, a simple midweek supper or a fun weekend dinner with friends, Monadh Kitchen is the sort of informal neighbourhood destination that we would all like to have on our doorstep.
‘Seasonal produce cooked with care and served with heart’ is the aim at Monadh Kitchen. From wild venison to West Coast scallops, Scottish produce is prominent throughout the a la carte and market menu. The a la carte menu is carefully chosen with five starters, main courses and desserts plus a couple of steak options.
Typical starters might be the heirloom tomato and Ayrshire goat cheese salad or the chicken liver pâté with fig chutney and country bread. Main courses range from hearty ox cheek steak pies to a more delicate poached salmon in a crab bisque with saffron potatoes and sea vegetables. Steak options include a flat iron and a sirloin; both served with chips, onion rings and pepper sauce. A veggie option might be the handmade tagliatelle with broad beans, asparagus and crispy Parmesan.
Monadh Kitchen is on New Kirk Road in the Glasgow suburb of Bearsden. There is on-street parking and the nearest train station, Bearsden, is a five minute walk.
