The staff make you welcome as soon as you walk through the door. The food was excellent. I asked for my pizza well done and got that. Nothing was too much trouble will definitely be back

An independent restaurant on Hope Street, Pulcinella has long been a city centre favourite for Italian food lovers. Decked out with Italian flags, checked table cloths and large murals, the decor is charmingly traditional.
The set lunch and early evening menus are popular with local workers, shoppers and theatre-goers. As you might expect in an Italian restaurant, a warm welcome seems to have been embedded in the DNA of Pulcinella’s staff.
At Pulcinella, the food is freshly prepared and served in generous portions. As well as a wide range of thin-based, crispy pizza and traditional pasta choices, Pulcinella serves a popular selection of antipasti, meat and fish classics.
From chicken Parmigiana to steak in a brandy and peppercorn sauce via the house veal, cooked with onions, mushrooms and a cream, there are plenty of carni dishes. Fish lovers are just as well looked after whether diners choose a simple king prawns in garlic butter and white wine or the Mediterranean fish stew which is served with garlic bread.
Pulcinella is on Hope Street in Glasgow city centre and is a five minute walk from both Queen Street and Central railway stations. The nearest subway is on Buchanan Street. Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, Cineworld, The Pavilion Theatre and the Theatre Royal are all within easy walking distance of Pulcinella.
