We've never had a bad experience in Thai Orchid, the staff are so friendly and the meals are delicious. Great veggie options and the food is always fresh and full of flavour.

Thoroughly recommend. The crispy shredded duck and Thai fish cakes were yummy and beautifully presented. My red beef curry was beautiful and the other mains also delicious. So friendly and lovely, contemporary but relaxing ambience and was very impressed with the background music too! Just 5⭐️ in all ways - go!! Wish we lived in Glasgow as would be a regular.

Thai Orchid is situated on Argyle Street in Glasgow’s city centre and allows diners to take a time out from the hustle and bustle of the city. The restaurant’s gentle Thai music and friendly staff allow you to truly relax and enjoy some of the fantastic dishes on offer. Offering a perfect balance of traditional and modern cuisine, Thai Orchid delivers flavours one would normally have to travel half a world away to experience.
The restaurant chefs use their skills to prepare a whole host of classic and contemporary dishes as well as a Thai take on tapas dining with items like the Thai pu-ra (deep fried battered vegetables with a sweet chilli sauce); glass noodle salad (vermicelli noodle salad with seafood, mince, chicken, shallots, coriander, spring onions and a chilli lime dressing); and the popular pork spare ribs.
Be sure to sample some of Thai Orchid’s signature dishes, such as the burning chicken volcano (pieces of fillet of chicken, stir fried with vegetables in a sweet chilli sauce and then ‘lit up like a volcano’); the duck tamarind (chargrilled duck breast topped with a caramelised tamarind sauces and served on a bed of greens); and the chu chee prawns (king prawns prepared with curry paste, sweet basil, coconut milk and garnished with shredded lime leaves).
Thai Orchid is on Hope Street in the city centre of Glasgow, a short walk from Glasgow Central train station and taxi ranks. St. Enoch Subway station is a leisurely 10 minute stroll from the restaurant and there are several bus stops also nearby. Guests travelling by car can may wish to use paid parking facilities a short distance away at the Q-Park car park on Waterloo Street or the NCP car park on Oswald Street.
