  Took my mum for a post Mothers Day Meal and we had a great meal....Nice cosy restaurant, courteous and welcoming staff, excellent food and all at a great value for money price of £12 for 2 courses....The Menu is well balanced and not too busy, Spoiled for choice but the Chicken and Ham Hock terrine and the hot apple chutney were a tasty starter as was the seafood and clam chowder which was packed full of seafood but the broth was nice and lite. My fillet of beef burger was cooked to perfection and the hand cut chips were as hand cut chips should be - brown and crispy on the outside and white and fluffy in the inside. Mums Pork belly was given 10 out of 10. moist tasty meat but a flavour packed layer of tasty fat..Hey fat aint a bad word! and certainly not when it adds so much taste to the overall dish as it did in this case .....Divine! the deserts looked fantsatsic but alas we were too full and opted for white coffee which was quaintly served in tea cups your granny would have been proud of!....Dont you worry Alan we will be back!
