We had a great meal before the cinema. I got the prawns for starter and my husband got the mussels. I would probably go for the mussels next time. Not only delicious but you get a bit more. We both got penne Mia casa which was lovely. The atmosphere was nice and the staff were very pleasant. Would definitely return.

Following on from the popular steakhouse of the same name, Mahony’s Chicken House is a friendly dining spot in Clyde Shopping Centre. Promising chickens, burgers, steaks and traditional British food, this is a great spot to kick back with a casual and hearty meal either post-shopping or pre-cinema. The earthy wooden decor creates a relaxing vibe.
Mahony’s serves up a tempting variety of grill dishes, alongside classic mains. Obviously, chicken is the main focus, and you can enjoy it many ways, including baked, skewered and cubed. Highlights include peri peri, mango & lime, chilli & barbecue, peppercorn and the milder alla crema. A speciality is the tender and tasty chicken breast carefully marinated for over 24 hours with a blend of Mediterranean spices & Mahony’s own rich, special sauce.
Alternatives to chicken include fillet, sirloin or rib-eye steaks, as well as beef and lamb dishes, and all-time favourites like fish & chips and lasagne. Over in the burger section, choices include the bacon cheeseburger, big chicken fillet and, for veggies, the Halloumi Thickburger.
Based at Clyde Shopping Centre in the centre of town, you could pair your meal at Mahony’s Chicken House with a visit to the nearby Empire Cinema. Titans BMX Racing and the Clydebank Museum are also close by. The main train station is around a 10-minute walk away. Mahony’s is also less than a 30-minute drive from Glasgow city centre.
