  I hadn't been to The Sisters for some years and it was the first visit for my two sisters who accompanied me - I had been giving it high praise. However, I wasn't as impressed as on previous visits. Firstly, we were sat at a table in line with the door and got a draught every time someone came in. Secondly, what I always considered The Sisters' signature dessert "Puff Candy Meringue with Honeycomb Ice Cream and Hot Butterscotch Sauce (their description) was disappointing. Little shop bought white meringue nest, when I was expecting "puff candy meringue" like they used to serve. When I mentioned this to the waiter his response was "It's always been served like that" and he was very dismissive about my comment, despite me telling him that no it hadn't. I will go back again, as it's still fairly good value for money, but my expectation will be considerably lower than before.
