  Girlie catch up

  Quaint little restaurant right in the heart of Ashton lane. Booked it for a girlie catch up and we were not disappointed. Friendly staff, lovely food and good value for money. Will definetly be back for more.

Traditional West End Italian restaurant

Located on Ashton Lane in Glasgow’s West End, Una Storia is an Italian restaurant with a welcoming, intimate atmosphere. Using the best ingredients and traditional cooking methods, the restaurant serves authentic homemade Italian cuisine. Una Storia child-friendly with highchairs available and is ideally located for the nearby cinema and the popular Byres Road.

Fresh Italian cuisine, homemade dishes

The restaurant offers a range of Italian fare with favourites such as the pate della casa (a smooth chicken liver pate served with crostini bread & red onion marmalade), the ravioli sorrento (rolled pasta leaves with a meat & spinach filling, baked with a béchamel & tomato sauce) and the pesce allo spiedo (marinated scallops, king prawns and wild salmon skewers served with a mixed herb risotto).

A particular house speciality is agnello, which is an oven-roasted chunk of lamb leg, marinated with marsala and sage and served on sauteed potatoes with shallots.

Una Storia is situated on Ashton Lane, just off the West End’s busiest street, Byres Road and is overlooked by Glasgow University. It is easily accessible via Hillhead Subway station and is adjacent to the Lilybank Gardens payable car park.
