An evening to remember

• Picture a beautiful, historic church with flickering candlelight, and imagine the silence as the crowd awaits the perfect soundtrack… the pianist takes his place, and the room is filled with the opening notes of a classical masterpiece…

• Enjoy it all with this Big Deal. You are invited to this atmospheric candlelit music event at Paisley Abbey on Sunday 18th December at 5pm. You will have a choice of ticket bands.

Step into 12th century splendour

• Paisley Abbey is an incredible setting for an event like this. Known as a ‘jewel of Medieval architecture’, it is dripping in atmosphere (in fact, it’s where Robert the Bruce was born).

• The soaring vaulted ceiling creates a deep sense of awe while the stained glass windows scatter rainbow dapples across the floor.

Iconic classical music

• This is an ideal space to soak up music like Beethoven’s iconic Moonlight Sonata. If you don’t consider yourself ‘in the know’ about Beethoven, fear not! This is a great choice for first-time classical concert goers.

• Beethoven’s iconic Moonlight Sonata evokes the beauty of soft, indirect light illuminating a gentle night. Treat yourself and your loved ones to an evening of stunning classical music, and listen to the Moonlight Sonata as it was meant to be enjoyed.

• The pieces of music will be played by Daniel Grimwood on piano. Check out this video displaying his talents

• The programme will also include Chopin – Berceuse, Liszt – Berceuse and works by Schumann and Mendelssohn.
