Chez Mal Brasserie is in Glasgow’s Malmaison hotel. The building was originally a Greek Orthodox church and the atmospheric restaurant sits in what used to be the crypt. As well as the main dining room, there are three intimate private dining rooms.

About Ardnamurchan

Ardnamurchan is a contemporary Scottish restaurant on Hope Street, opposite the Theatre Royal. As the name suggests, the West Coast peninsula of Ardnamurchan has inspired the restaurant and its owners have close links to the area. Whisky barrels, Harris tweed, exposed brick and stone walls plus designer lighting all mean that the decor treads a neat line between rustic and city centre chic.

About ReCESS - Hilton Garden Inn

Part of the Hilton Garden Inn Glasgow City Centre, Recess is on Finnieston Quay, right by the River Clyde. A casual dining restaurant, it offers panoramic views across the Clyde by day and night. Madha is a contemporary Indian restaurant on Albion Street in the heart of Glasgow’s Merchant City. About Gōst

Gōst on Bothwell Street promises delectable prime cuts of beef and expertly grilled fish served with quality wine and cocktails. The restaurant is by the same team behind popular dining spots Glaschu and The Duke’s Umbrella.

According to Executive Chef John Molloy, the aim is to serve dishes that feel familiar but are elevated to a fine dining standard. To this end, Gōst is one of the only restaurants in Scotland offering purebred Angus beef steak from ex-dairy cattle retired onto grass pastures. The result is an incredible depth of flavour.

Inside, the decor is sleek and sophisticated with a focus on elegant simplicity.

About Rab Ha's

Named after a legendary 19th century Glasgow glutton, Rab Ha’s is a welcoming bar and restaurant with rooms on Hutcheson Street. In the summer of 2017, new owners gave the much-loved Merchant City institution a thoughtful refurbishment. The very opposite of a bland chain, Rab Ha’s is an independent, family-run with business with oodles of character. Visitors can look forward to a cosy and tranquil space with stripped stone walls, an open fire and wood panelling in the bar and restaurant.

About Finsbay Flatiron West End

The sister bar and restaurant to the Finsbay in Milngavie, the Finsbay Flatiron is a steak restaurant on Woodlands Road. It is a good looking space. By day, it is light and airy with stripped walls, pale wood and white, bright furniture. By night it has an inviting, warm glow. A couple of professional rugby players are involved in Finsbay Flatiron so you can always be sure that they will be showing the big games.

Launched at the tail end of 2017, Van Winkle is an American-style bar on the Gallowgate in Glasgow’s Calton neighbourhood. Bourbon, BBQ and burgers are the mainstays of the menus and, as you might expect, the decor also takes its cue from the US of A.

Part of Hilton Glasgow Grosvenor, beGin opened on Byres Road towards the end of 2017. Staffed by hip mixologists, it is an on trend mix of exposed copper piping, filament bulbs and lots of gin. In fact, the bar stocks some 100 varieties of gin from all over the world and they are available as both classic and new cocktails or as a Perfect Serve – a double measure served with one of twelve mixers and 28 garnishes. Taking its name from South America’s version of cowboys, Gaucho specialises in serving up real Argentinian beef.
